Hey! Let’s Have Fun
Has it been so long since you had fun,
put toxic emotions on the run?
Do those chores really have to get done?
Walk around the block in the rain or sun.
Dance the jitterbug with the mop;
or waltz or sing or skip and hop.
Make faces at the animals in the zoo;
see if they will talk to you.
Turn some beautiful music on;
get up early to greet the dawn.
Fill the tub with bubbles and play;
fly a kite on a windy day.
Clip out jokes, put them in a book;
laugh and laugh when you give a look.
Remember your Father is looking down
He hears that sigh and sees that frown.
Don’t let His blessings go to waste;
relax, have fun, say NO to haste.
You’re not old unless you say it;
make the time to laugh and play it.
When you were a kid you knew it;
now get off your fanny and do it!
