Progressive dispensationalism sees more continuity between the ages.
Already the kingdom has come in Christ.
Not yet is it seen in full.
The blessings of the new covenant are tasted now
and still awaited.
It is a reading inside dispensationalism, not a different gospel.
Progressive dispensationalism is a later form of dispensationalism. It still distinguishes Israel and the church, and it still expects a future for Israel. It sees more continuity than older dispensational charts. The kingdom is already present in Jesus and not yet complete. The new covenant is already tasted and still awaited. David’s throne is already granted to Christ in heaven and still to be seen on earth. The view is held by sincere believers. It is not the only dispensational reading, and it is not required for the faith.
Already, and not yet. Israel is not erased. The church is not a parenthesis with no share in the promises. Describe the view. Do not make the chart the gospel.
The kingdom has come in Christ, and is not yet complete.
Progressive dispensationalism keeps Israel and the church distinct.
It also sees them share in one plan.
The reading is not the faith.
The kingdom of God is in the midst of you.
They reigned with Christ for a thousand years.
The gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable.
Progressive dispensationalism holds those lines together. Already, and not yet. Israel is not erased. The chart is not the gospel.
