You are not your own,
for you were bought with a price.
So glorify God in your body.

Paul says it twice in one letter.

Christian liberty rests on the purchase. The price is the blood of Christ. The free person does not hand the body back to sin, and does not hand the conscience back to men.
- The body is for the Lord. Sexual immorality is a use of what was bought.

- The church was bought. Freedom is the life of the purchased, not the life of the unowned.

- The Result – You are not your own.
- The Body – Glorify God in it.
- The Refusal – Do not become slaves of men.
- The Freedom – The purchased are the free.
- The Lord – The body is for Him.
- 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 – “You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.”
- 1 Corinthians 7:23 – “You were bought with a price; do not become bondservants of men.”
- 1 Peter 1:18-19 – “You were ransomed from the futile ways inherited from your forefathers, not with perishable things such as silver or gold, but with the precious blood of Christ.”
