Take care, and be on your guard against all covetousness,
for one’s life does not consist
in the abundance of his possessions.

Life does not consist in the abundance of possessions. Paul calls covetousness idolatry. It must not even be named among the saints. Contentment is the opposite posture. Godliness with contentment is great gain. Covetousness is the want that will not rest in what God has assigned.
