Position in Christ
is where God has placed the believer.
He hath raised us up together,
and made us sit together
in heavenly places in Christ Jesus.
Far above all principality and power.
Position in Christ is the place believers occupy because they are united with Jesus. God raised Christ from the dead and set Him at His own right hand in the heavenly places, far above all principality and power. He has also raised us up together and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. This position is not earned. It is the result of being in Christ. It changes how the believer stands before God and before the powers of darkness.
- The believer is delivered from the power of darkness and translated into the kingdom of God’s dear Son.
- The believer is seated with Christ far above all rule and authority.
- This position is the ground of the authority of the believer.
- The armor of God is put on from this place of victory, not to earn it.
- The church is the body of those who are in Christ and share this position.
Position in Christ is settled. The believer is seated with Him. The call is to stand in what God has already done.
