Evil is what is against God,
and what He tells His people to refuse.
God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
Do not be overcome by evil,
but overcome evil with good.
The love of money is a root of all kinds of evils.
Evil is not a force equal to God. He is light, and in Him is no darkness at all. He cannot be tempted with evil, and He tempts no one. Each person is tempted when he is lured by his own desire. Desire conceives and gives birth to sin, and sin when fully grown brings forth death. Jesus taught the church to pray, deliver us from evil. The church is told not to be overcome by evil, but to overcome evil with good.
