See,
I have called by name Bezaleel the son of Uri,
the son of Hur,
of the tribe of Judah.
And I have filled him with the spirit of God,
in wisdom,
and in understanding,
and in knowledge,
and in all manner of workmanship.
To work in gold,
and in silver,
and in brass.
And Bezaleel made the ark of shittim wood.
Bezalel was the craftsman God named for the tabernacle. He was the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah. The Lord told Moses He had called him by name and filled him with the spirit of God, in wisdom, in understanding, in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship. He worked gold, silver, brass, stone, and wood. Aholiab was given with him. Bezalel made the ark, the mercy seat, the table, the lampstand, and the altar. The skill was a filling.
