Every Eye Will See Him is John’s announcement of the coming of Jesus Christ.
He is coming with the clouds. Every eye will see Him, even those who pierced Him, and all tribes of the earth will wail on account of Him.
The appearing is not hidden in the wilderness or in an inner room.
The same Lord who was taken up will be seen by the whole world.
Revelation opens with blessing on the one who reads, hears, and keeps the prophecy, and then it names the hope and the warning of the book: Behold, He is coming with the clouds. The language joins Daniel’s Son of Man, Zechariah’s pierced One, and Jesus’ own words on the Mount of Olives. The tribes will see the sign of the Son of Man in heaven. They will mourn. Lightning from east to west is the comparison Jesus used. A secret christ is a false christ. The true coming is public enough that no one will need a report. Those who pierced Him are not left out of the seeing. The soldiers, the rulers, and the world that rejected Him will look on the One they wounded. For the church the same sight is blessed hope. For the unrepentant it is wailing. The difference is not the visibility. The difference is whether the eye that sees Him has already called on His name.
- The coming of Christ is visible to all, not private to a few.
- Clouds, mourning tribes, and the pierced One are the Bible’s own picture, not later invention.
- Those who pierced Him will see Him. History does not erase the cross.
- False announcements that He is here or there are to be refused.
- Seeing Him will mean joy for those who love His appearing and grief for those who would not have Him.
- The church waits for a Person who will be recognized, not for a rumor.
- Amen is the right answer to this promise.
- Coming with the Clouds – The Daniel vision fulfilled in the return of Jesus.
- Every Eye – No nation, no rank, no hiding place is exempt from the sight.
- Even Those Who Pierced Him – The crucified Lord is the coming Lord.
- All Tribes Wail – The earth mourns when the rejected King appears.
- Not in Secret – As lightning shines from east to west.
- Blessed Hope for the Saints – The same appearing is the joy of those who wait.
- Certain Word – Behold. Amen. Come, Lord Jesus.

- Zechariah 12:10 – “And I will pour out on the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem a spirit of grace and pleas for mercy, so that, when they look on me, on him whom they have pierced, they shall mourn for him, as one mourns for an only child, and weep bitterly over him, as one weeps over a firstborn.”
- John 19:34, 37 – “But one of the soldiers pierced his side with a spear… And again another Scripture says, ‘They will look on him whom they have pierced.’”
- Matthew 24:27, 30 – “For as the lightning comes from the east and shines as far as the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man… Then will appear in heaven the sign of the Son of Man, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.”

- Philippians 2:10-11 – “So that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”

Behold, He is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see Him, even those who pierced Him.
All tribes of the earth will wail on account of Him. Even so. Amen.
Do not believe the inner rooms. Do not chase a christ in the wilderness.
The One who was lifted up in a cloud will come in the same way.
Those who wait for Him will see Him as He is. Those who pierced Him will look on Him too.
Let every eye that still has time call on the name of the Lord.
Surely I am coming soon. Amen. Come, Lord Jesus.
