Six days shalt thou labour,
and do all thy work.
But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God.
And God saw every thing that he had made,
and, behold, it was very good.
Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast:
for it is the number of a man;
and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.
Six is the day of man’s work, and the day God finished the creatures and called them very good. Six days shalt thou labour. The seventh is the sabbath. Man was made on the sixth day. The count of the week does not stop at six. It goes on to the rest. Revelation says the number of the beast is the number of a man, six hundred threescore and six. That is a mark to count, not a puzzle that makes six itself evil. The sixth day was very good. The beast’s number is a man’s number, short of the seven that is the Lord’s finished count.
