Sexual immorality is the body given to someone other than the covenant God made.
Flee from sexual immorality.
The body is not meant for sexual immorality, but for the Lord,
and the Lord for the body.
She is teaching and seducing my servants to practice sexual immorality
and to eat food sacrificed to idols.
Scripture does not treat this as a private taste. The body is for the Lord. Flee. Every other sin is outside the body, but the sexually immoral person sins against his own body. The body is a temple of the Holy Spirit. Jezebel teaches the servants of Christ to practice it, and to eat food sacrificed to idols. Balaam put the same pair before Israel. The two travel together in the letters.
- The letter to Thyatira says He gave her time to repent. She refuses. He searches mind and heart and gives to each according to their works.
- The church is told to abstain, not to negotiate. Acts 15 names it with idol food, blood, and what is strangled.
- Marriage is the covenant place of the body. Immorality is the use of the body outside that gift.
Flee. The body is for the Lord. A teaching that seduces the servants into this is the teaching He hates.
