¶ Searches Mind and Heart
Jesus is the one who searches mind and heart.
I am he who searches mind and heart,
and I will give to each of you according to your works.
I the Lord search the heart
and test the mind.
All the churches will know
that I am he.
The line is spoken against Jezebel’s children in Thyatira. Jesus will strike her children dead, and all the churches will know that He is the one who searches mind and heart, and gives to each according to their works. The search is not a guess from the teaching they tolerated. He sees the mind and the heart. The works follow. Jeremiah had said the Lord searches the heart and tests the mind, to give every man according to his ways. Jesus takes that work as His own.
