The spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord.
The earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord.
This is life eternal,
that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.
Isaiah lists seven spirits of God.
“And the spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord.”
Isaiah 11:2
Knowledge is the sixth name, paired with the fear of the Lord. The Spirit who rests on the Branch is knowledge of God, not a stack of facts. The earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea. Eternal life is to know the Father and Jesus Christ whom He sent. In the Son are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. The spirit of knowledge is that knowing, given, not invented.
