Fulfillment in Christ is how every line of promise lands—not as a discarded scaffold, but as a person.
Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them.
All the promises of God find their Yes in Him.
Beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, He interpreted to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning Himself. The Book does not peter out. It arrives.
Matthew keeps writing so that it might be fulfilled. Virgin. Bethlehem. Out of Egypt. Rachel weeping. Light in Galilee. He took our illnesses. The Servant. The king on a donkey. Thirty pieces. Lots on a garment. Luke’s risen Lord opens minds to understand that the Christ should suffer and rise, and that repentance and forgiveness should be proclaimed in His name to all nations. The shadows had substance ahead of them: passover lamb, manna, serpent lifted, temple, priest, rest, the son of David. Types are not clever codes. They are God teaching a people the shape of the Son before the Son’s hour. Fulfillment is not cancellation. The law’s righteous requirement is fulfilled in us who walk by the Spirit because it was first fulfilled in Him. Jots and tittles stand until all is accomplished. Some promises wait for a city and a king still seen by faith—already Yes, not yet all seen. Do not flatten Israel into a footnote. Do not leave the promises hanging beside Him as if He were one option among the prophets. The Seed is one. The Amen is one. Search the Scriptures: they bear witness about Me.
- Fulfill is more than predict. It is fill full—bring the thing to its goal.
- Abolish is the charge He denies. The Law and the Prophets stand as done in Him, not as trash.
- Yes in Him means promises are not a catalog of leftover coupons.
- Moses and the Prophets already concerned Himself. The sermon on the road is the method.
- Shadows belong to a body. Once the body comes, you do not live in the silhouette.
- Already and not yet keeps fulfillment from pretending the last page has no more ink.
- The Scriptures bear witness about Me is how you read without losing the plot.
- Law and Prophets – Not abolished; fulfilled.
- The Formula – That it might be fulfilled; Matthew’s drum.

- Matthew 5:17-18 – “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. For truly, I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not an iota, not a dot, will pass from the Law until all is accomplished.”
- 2 Corinthians 1:20 – For all the promises of God find their Yes in Him. That is why it is through Him that we utter our Amen to God for His glory.
- Luke 24:27, 44-47 – Beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, He interpreted to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning Himself… “Everything written about me in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms must be fulfilled.”… that the Christ should suffer and on the third day rise from the dead, and that repentance for the forgiveness of sins should be proclaimed in His name to all nations.

- Colossians 2:16-17 – These are a shadow of the things to come, but the substance belongs to Christ.
- Hebrews 10:1, 9-10 – The law has but a shadow of the good things to come… “Behold, I have come to do your will.” He does away with the first in order to establish the second.
- Galatians 3:16, 24 – The promises were made to Abraham and to his offspring… who is Christ. The law was our guardian until Christ came.
- Acts 13:32-33 – We bring you the good news that what God promised to the fathers, this He has fulfilled to us their children by raising Jesus.
- Revelation 19:10 – The testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.
I have not come to abolish the Law or the Prophets but to fulfill them.
All the promises of God find their Yes in Him. Through Him we utter our Amen.
He interpreted to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning Himself. Everything written about Me must be fulfilled.
They bear witness about Me. Moses wrote of Me.
These are a shadow. The substance belongs to Christ.
What God promised to the fathers He has fulfilled by raising Jesus.
Do not read the Book as if the last chapter were missing a name. Start with Moses. Walk the Prophets. Hear the Psalms. The lines meet in Him. Say Yes. Say Amen. Teach the nations what He fulfilled—and what He still brings to finish.
