Prince of Demons is the title the scribes gave the power they refused to credit to the Spirit of God.
By the prince of demons He casts out the demons.
He is possessed by Beelzebul,
and by the prince of demons He casts out the demons.
If I cast out demons by the prince of demons,
by whom do your sons cast them out?
Therefore they will be your judges.
The title is real in the sense that darkness has a head.
The slander is that Jesus works for that head.
He does not.
He binds him.
Scripture speaks of ranks in the unseen:
Prince of demons is the Pharisees’ courtroom name for that head—Beelzebul in their mouth. They use it to explain a mute man speaking and a blind man seeing without kneeling to the Son of David. Jesus does not deny that the darkness has a chief. He denies the staffing chart they drew. A prince does not undercut his own house. The stronger than the strong man has entered. The ruler of this world is being cast out. The prince of the power of the air still works in the sons of disobedience—until a man is made alive with Christ. Michael and the dragon war in heaven. Legion is many under a name. None of that makes Jesus an employee of the prince. By the Spirit of God the kingdom has come upon you. The head of the house of evil is a creature. The Son of the Most High is not on his payroll.

Do not give the prince Jesus’ job. Darkness has a head. The Son binds him, plunders the house, and casts the ruler out. Say Spirit of God. The kingdom has come upon you. The prince is judged.
