Tell ye the daughter of Sion,
Behold, thy King cometh unto thee,
meek, and sitting upon an ass,
and a colt the foal of an ass.
The triumphal entry is the day Jesus rode into Jerusalem. He sent for the colt. The multitude spread garments and branches. They cried, Hosanna to the Son of David. Blessed is He that cometh in the name of the Lord. It was the word Zechariah had spoken. Thy King cometh, meek, and sitting upon an ass. The Pharisees said, Rebuke thy disciples. He said if these should hold their peace, the stones would cry out. He wept over the city. The entry is the King coming as it was written, and the city not knowing the day of her visitation.
