Alpha and Omega is

In the book of Revelation
the title is applied both to
God the Father and to Jesus Christ.
Alpha (Α) is the first letter of the Greek alphabet, and Omega (Ω) is the last. To say that God is the Alpha and the Omega is to say that He is the origin and the goal of everything that exists. Nothing precedes Him, and nothing will outlast Him. He is the One who begins all things and the One who brings all things to their appointed conclusion.
The title also implies completeness. Just as the alphabet contains every letter from beginning to end, so God encompasses all reality and all history within His purpose and power.

In Revelation 1:8 the speaker is clearly God. In Revelation 22:13 the same title is spoken by Jesus Christ, affirming His full deity and eternal nature. The application of this divine title to Jesus is one of the strongest declarations of His identity in the New Testament.

For the original readers of Revelation, who faced persecution and uncertainty, this title was a powerful reminder that the Lord God Almighty — and the risen Christ — stand as the true beginning and the true end of all things. Their suffering was not the final word.
Alpha and Omega is a title of unmatched majesty. It declares that God is the eternal origin and the final goal of all creation and all history. When this title is given to Jesus Christ in Revelation, it affirms that the One who died and rose again is none other than the everlasting God who holds the beginning and the end in His hands.
