Jesus Christ is
- the eternal Son of God
- who became fully human,
- lived a sinless life,
- died on the cross as the substitute for humanity’s sins,
- rose from the dead,
- and now reigns as Lord and Savior.
Jesus was born of the virgin Mary in Bethlehem, raised in Nazareth, and began His public ministry around the age of thirty. He taught with unique authority, performed miracles, called disciples, and proclaimed the Kingdom of God. He was crucified under Pontius Pilate, buried, and rose on the third day. After appearing to many witnesses, He ascended to heaven and promised to return.
- Jesus is the perfect fulfillment of Old Testament prophecies, types, and shadows (including the sacrifices, the Passover lamb, and the suffering servant).
- His life, death, and resurrection form the central turning point of all human history and God’s redemptive plan.
- He is both fully God and fully man — the only mediator between God and humanity.
- His finished work on the cross provides complete forgiveness and eternal life to all who believe in Him.
