The four and twenty elders fall down before him that sat on the throne,
and worship him that liveth for ever and ever,
and cast their crowns before the throne.
Saying, Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power.
Worship in heaven is what John hears after the door is opened. The living creatures rest not, saying Holy, holy, holy. The elders fall and cast their crowns. When the Lamb takes the book, they sing a new song, and the angels say Worthy is the Lamb. A multitude cries Salvation to our God. At the end the elders say Amen, Alleluia. Heaven’s worship is toward the One on the throne and toward the Lamb. It is not a circle of praise among the elders.
Holy, holy, holy.
Thou art worthy.
Worthy is the Lamb.
