The Healing of the Nations is the final and complete restoration pictured in Revelation 22, where the leaves of the Tree of Life are for the healing of the nations.
It announces the end of every wound that sin, death, and the curse have inflicted upon the peoples of the earth.
In the New Jerusalem the nations walk by the light of God’s glory, bring their honor into the city, and receive the full healing that flows from the throne of God and of the Lamb.
What began with the promise of a Redeemer for all peoples ends with the nations made whole in the presence of God forever.
From the beginning God purposed to bless all the families of the earth through the offspring of Abraham. The prophets foresaw the day when the nations would stream to the mountain of the Lord, when the earth would be full of the knowledge of the Lord, and when healing would come to the peoples. Ezekiel saw trees beside the river whose leaves were for healing. In the final vision of Scripture the Tree of Life stands on either side of the river of the water of life, yielding its fruit each month, and its leaves are for the healing of the nations. There is no longer any curse. The nations walk by the light of the city, the kings of the earth bring their glory into it, and nothing unclean enters. The healing is not partial or temporary; it is the complete removal of every effect of the fall — spiritual, relational, physical, and cosmic. The same Lamb who was slain to purchase people from every tribe and language and people and nation now provides the healing that makes those nations whole in the restored creation.

The leaves of the Tree of Life are for the healing of the nations. What sin shattered, Christ restores. The peoples that walked in darkness now walk by the light of the Lamb. The curse is gone, the tears are wiped away, and the nations bring their glory into the city of God. This is the end toward which the whole story of Scripture has been moving — the blessing of all the families of the earth, the gathering of a multitude no one can number, and the complete healing of every wound. The mission of the church is the present anticipation of that final healing. The gospel goes to the nations because the Lamb has purchased people from every nation, and the day is coming when those nations will be fully healed. Until then, proclaim the good news. The Tree of Life is already planted. The leaves are for healing. And the nations will be made whole.
