The authority of the believer refers to

through Jesus Christ
to overcome the forces of darkness.

personal strength, feelings, or merit,
but on the finished work of Jesus
and the believer’s position in Him.

for living victoriously in the unseen realms.
When Jesus rose from the dead and ascended to the right hand of the Father, He was given all authority in heaven and on earth (Matthew 28:18). Through faith in Christ, believers are united with Him and share in that authority.
