The Tribulation
is a future seven-year period
of judgment and trouble.
It is the time of Jacob’s trouble.
It is Daniel’s seventieth week.
For then shall be great tribulation,
such as was not since the beginning of the world.
The Tribulation is the seven-year period of divine judgment described in Daniel’s 70th Week and in the book of Revelation. It is also called the time of Jacob’s trouble. In the common reading, it follows the Rapture and ends with the Second Coming of Christ. The second half is the Great Tribulation, marked by the abomination of desolation and the full outpouring of wrath through the seal judgments, trumpet judgments, and bowl judgments.
- Seventy weeks are determined upon Israel and Jerusalem. The final week is the Tribulation.
- A prince confirms a covenant with many for one week and breaks it in the middle.
- The Great Tribulation is a time of trouble such as never was.
