Good Works are the acts of
obedience, love, and service that flow from
a heart transformed by the grace of God.
They are the fruit of salvation, not the root of it.
Scripture teaches that we are saved by grace through faith,
apart from works,
yet created in Christ Jesus
for good works that God prepared beforehand.
True good works
bring glory to God,
serve others,
and give evidence of genuine faith.
The Bible holds two truths together with perfect clarity. First, no one is justified by works of the law; salvation is a free gift received by faith. Second, those who have been saved are not left idle — they are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works. Good works are never the means by which we earn God’s favor; they are the grateful response of those who have already received it. They include acts of mercy, generosity, integrity in daily work, love for neighbor, care for the needy, and every expression of obedience that flows from faith. When done in dependence on the Spirit and for the glory of God, good works become a powerful witness to the reality of the gospel.

Good works are the beautiful and necessary fruit of a life saved by grace. They do not earn salvation; they demonstrate that salvation has already been received. God prepared them beforehand, equips us for them by His Spirit, and intends them for His glory and the good of others. The same gospel that declares we are justified by faith apart from works also creates a people who are zealous for good works. When believers walk in the works God has prepared, the light of Christ shines and the Father receives the glory. Let us not grow weary in doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.
