The Eternal State refers to
the final, everlasting condition of all creation and humanity
after God’s redemptive plan is completely fulfilled.
It is the ultimate destiny of both believers and unbelievers.
The Bible teaches that history is moving toward a final, permanent state. After the resurrection of the dead, the final judgment, and the creation of the new heaven and new earth, all things will enter their eternal condition.
This state is marked by permanence — there will be no more change, decay, or reversal. For believers, it will be a state of perfect joy, holiness, and fellowship with God. For unbelievers, it will be a state of eternal separation from God in the lake of fire.

- Revelation 21:1-4 — Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea. Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.”
- Revelation 22:3-5 — And there shall be no more curse, but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it, and His servants shall serve Him. They shall see His face, and His name shall be on their foreheads. There shall be no night there: They need no lamp nor light of the sun, for the Lord God gives them light. - 2 Peter 3:13 — Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells.
- Matthew 25:46 — And these will go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.
