For the believer today the promise is even clearer: to be away from the body is to be at home with the Lord. The same God who gathered Lazarus to Abraham’s side now receives His people into the presence of Christ. Death is not the end for those who belong to Him; it is the doorway into comfort, rest, and the joy of being with the Lord.
