Ephesus is one of the seven cities Jesus addresses in Asia.
The first of the seven letters.
He knows their works.
He who has an ear,
let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.
Ephesus is a city before it is a symbol. Jesus tells John to write and send to the church there. The letter to Ephesus is the study of what He said. Paul taught in the hall of Tyrannus, the name of the Lord Jesus was extolled, and magic books were burned. The wound in the letter is works, toil, and a love left behind.
Acts 19 holds the words. The city is not a code that replaces them.
Ephesus is a real city.
The letter is His word to the church there.
Hear what the Spirit says to the churches.
Send it to the seven churches, to Ephesus.
I know your works.
He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.
Read the letter He sent to this city. Do not turn the city into a symbol that skips His words.
