Philadelphia is a city before it is a symbol. Jesus tells John to write and send to the church there. The letter to Philadelphia is the study of what He said. He set before them an open door which no one is able to shut. They kept His word. The wound in the letter is an open door, and a name not denied.
Revelation 3 holds the words. The city is not a code that replaces them.
Philadelphia is a real city.
