God’s Plan of Salvation is
the eternal purpose of God to rescue sinners
through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ
and to bring them into everlasting fellowship with Himself.
It originates in the love and sovereignty of God,
is accomplished by the finished work of Christ,
and is applied by the Holy Spirit through the gospel.
From eternity past to the new creation,
this plan displays the wisdom, grace, and glory
of the triune God.
It is the central message of the whole Bible
and the only hope for a lost world.
Before the foundation of the world, God purposed to save a people for Himself. When humanity fell into sin, that purpose unfolded in history through promise, covenant, sacrifice, and prophecy, all pointing forward to Christ. In the fullness of time God sent His Son, who lived in perfect obedience, died as a substitute for sinners, and rose again in victory. The gospel now calls all people to repent and believe. Those who trust in Christ are justified, adopted, sealed by the Spirit, and kept for the day of redemption. The plan will reach its completion when Christ returns, the dead are raised, and God’s people dwell with Him forever in the new heaven and new earth. Every part of Scripture contributes to this one great story of salvation.

God’s plan of salvation is the most glorious story ever told. It begins in the eternal purpose of God, unfolds through the history of redemption, centers on the cross and resurrection of Jesus Christ, and ends in the new creation where God dwells with His people forever. No one is saved by accident or by personal achievement. Salvation is of the Lord — planned by the Father, accomplished by the Son, and applied by the Spirit. The same plan that stretches from eternity to eternity meets each person in the simple call of the gospel: repent and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved. There is no other name, no other way, and no greater hope. All glory belongs to the God who saves.
