Jesus Saves
is the simple, powerful declaration of the gospel:
that Jesus Christ rescues sinners
from sin, death, and the wrath of God,
and gives them eternal life.
It is the heart of the Christian message
and the reason for the name of this site.
Salvation is found in no one else,
for there is no other name
under heaven given among men
by which we must be saved.
Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.
The entire Bible points to the truth that Jesus saves. From the first promise of a Redeemer in Genesis to the final invitation in Revelation, Scripture reveals a God who acts to rescue His people. In the fullness of time God sent His Son, who lived a perfect life, died as a substitute for sinners, and rose again in victory. The name Jesus means “Yahweh saves,” and the angel announced that He would save His people from their sins. This salvation is complete: it delivers from the penalty of sin, breaks the power of sin, and will one day remove the presence of sin forever. It is offered freely to all who repent and believe. The declaration “Jesus saves” is both a fact and an invitation — a fact about what Christ has accomplished, and an invitation for every person to receive that salvation by faith.
- Jesus is the only Savior; there is no other name by which we must be saved.
- He saves from sin’s penalty (justification), power (sanctification), and eventual presence (glorification).
- Salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone — not by works or personal merit.
- The same Jesus who saves also keeps; those who come to Him He will never cast out.
- The gospel is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes.
- “Jesus saves” is personal: He saves real people from real sin for a real relationship with God.
- The invitation remains open: whoever believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life.
- Who He Is – The eternal Son of God, the promised Messiah, fully God and fully man, the only Mediator between God and humanity.
- What He Did – Lived in perfect obedience, died as a substitute for sinners, rose from the dead, and ascended to the right hand of the Father.
- What He Saves From – Sin, death, judgment, and eternal separation from God.
- What He Saves For – Forgiveness, adoption, new life, holiness, and eternal fellowship with God.
- How We Receive It – By repenting of sin and believing in Jesus Christ, calling on His name and receiving the free gift.
- The Certainty of It – Salvation rests on His finished work, not on our performance; it is secure for all who trust Him.
- The Ongoing Work – He continues to save, keep, intercede, and will one day bring final salvation at His return.
- Matthew 1:21 – “She will bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins.”

- Romans 10:9, 13 – “If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved… For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
- John 3:16-17 – “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.”
- John 14:6 – “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
- Ephesians 2:8-9 – “For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.”
- 1 Timothy 1:15 – “The saying is trustworthy and deserving of full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am the foremost.”

- Hebrews 7:25 – “Consequently, he is able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through him, since he always lives to make intercession for them.”
- Luke 19:10 – “For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.”
- Revelation 22:17 – “The Spirit and the Bride say, ‘Come.’ And let the one who hears say, ‘Come.’ And let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who desires take the water of life without price.”
- Isaiah 45:22 – “Turn to me and be saved, all the ends of the earth! For I am God, and there is no other.”
Jesus saves. These two words contain the hope of the world. He is able to save to the uttermost every person who comes to God through Him. No sin is too great, no past too dark, and no heart too hard for the reach of His grace. The work is finished; the invitation is open. If you have never trusted Him, you may call on Him today. Admit your need, believe that He died for your sins and rose again, and ask Him to save you. He will. And if you already belong to Him, rest in the certainty that the One who saved you will also keep you and bring you safely home. All glory belongs to the God who saves through His Son. Jesus saves — yesterday, today, and forever.
